What is Birbal?
Emperor Akbar had the smart and witty Birbal to rely on when he needed information, advice or wanted to bounce off ideas. Who do we have today? Who is today's Birbal?
WE THE PEOPLE are today's Birbal. We have information and life experiences that we can share with others and gain from their experiences, in the bargain making smart, informed decisions that help with our day-to-day living – be it choosing the best Italian restaurant in Hyderabad OR getting a home loan at the best rate from the best bank.
Birbal has two components: Search & Compare AND Community.
Birbal allows you to search and compare services from competing service providers, hence shifting the power to you from the provider. In our travel section, you can look for flights or hotels that match your needs and then directly complete the booking at the provider's site. In our loans section, you can submit your need for a loan to upto 5 banks simultaneously and then based on their responses choose the best bank for your needs and so on...
But search and compare is not enough. What about the experiences of others like you?
Birbal allows you to read or rate the services you procure from service providers like Banks, Hotels, Airlines, Restaurants, etc etc. It also allows you to read and write diaries (like blogs) on topics that are affiliated – e.g write a diary about your honeymoon or your pilgrimage or your cruise to Singapore, Bangkok and Pattaya OR create a diary for your recipes and let others read and rate your creations.
Search & Compare AND Community are both powerful tools in their own right, but when combined , they create the “BIRBAL” of today – A Well Informed Powerful Consumer .
